'Under The Covers' : Cheesecake Valentine’s Day Collection
An original line of vintage inspired handmade lingerie pieces. Created in collaboration with seamstress Jamie Lee Miller. Each piece is handmade using repurposed 1940s satin bedspreads & adornments from the era. We have been researching and collecting over the past year & a half to bring this line to life. Each piece is one of a kind & completely made from vintage materials. This is our second batch of creations thus far in this series. Inspired by 1940s heart shaped outfits & Bettie Page's & Bunny Yeagers original lingerie they would design and wear for their ‘cheesecake’ pinup photo shoots throughout the 1950s. Each piece is a vintage reproduction using the materials of the era we are highlighting in the design. Slip into under the covers.
The Split Heart Romper
-a heart shaped satin romper made from a 1940s bedspread -cream off-white satin with a pink heart & pink satin detailing -beautiful embroidery -shorts are our best fit yet! they feature a lace-up bum bum closure -high waisted and fully lined -patterned off of a pair of satin 1940s athletic shorts -the heart shaped top is split into two pieces & laces up the front with an adjustable lattice ribbon feature -It has a ruffle trim and metal hoops that allow the vintage pink crochet ribbon to lace-up the sides and back (heart top is fully adjustable) -top buttons to the tailored shorts in the front for the full romper effect or it can be removed / both the top and shorts can be worn separately -this romper is fully handmade, one of a kind, and produced from all one off vintage materials -the heart shaped satin bedding that we used to make these pieces is very special and rare (also incredibly soft and comfortable) -there are four rompers available and each one is tailored to fit you (please allow 7-10 business days to pieces to be completed and shipped.)
